Throwing Hands
A downloadable tabletop game
3...2...1...GO!
Arghh. Your Rock beat my Scissors.
Welcome to Throwing Hands. You and your opponents' miniatures, through clever bouts of Rock, Paper, Scissors - with a twist - will collect as many Spirits as possible before time runs out.
What You'll Need
- Models - 3-6 per side. It’s suggested to use 25mm bases. However, as long as all the models use the same base size, it doesn’t matter.
- Play space - 2’x2’ or 60cm x 60cm area
- Terrain - A variety of small and medium-sized terrain pieces to break up the play area.
- Measuring - Tape measure, ruler, 6” stick
- Hands - At least one
- Tokens - To represent the Spirits you are trying to collect.
The Twist
When you win a hand of Rock, Paper, Scissors, each hand sign comes with its own win effect. This will directly impact the flow of the game and lead to mind games with your opponent.
For Younger Players
I came up with this idea while playing Rock, Paper, Scissors with my 3-year-old. All you need to do is drop the twist and maybe have fewer models on the board, and you are good to go. Little kids can learn Rock, Paper, Scissors much quicker than the pips on dice, text on cards or memorising statlines, so Throwing Hands is an ideal entry into the world of miniatures games.
What's Next
Throwing Hands is still in development and playtesting for a potentially wider release. We are working hard on producing cover art and internal documentation that will bring the book to life. If you have any comments, questions or feedback, please reach out.
